DESCRIPTION:Holy Easter Vigil – April 19\, 9:00 to about 11:30 pm (No 7:00 pm Mass) \nSt. Augustine said that the Easter Vigil is to be considered the most important of all vigils. On this night we celebrate the\nsacraments of initiation (Baptism\, Confirmation\, and Eucharist). This Mass has four parts: Service of Light\, Liturgy of the Word\, Liturgy of Baptism and Liturgy of the Eucharist. By most ancient tradition this is the night of keeping vigil for the Lord. As we begin the vigil\, the faithful\, carrying lighted candles\, should be like those looking for the Lord when He returns so that at His coming He may find us awake and have us sit at His table. This Mass satisfies your Sunday Mass obligation for Easter Sunday. \nCelebration of our newly baptized Following the Easter Vigil join us in Tranquille Hall. Please bring a sweet (squares\, cookies\, etc.)\, fruit\, or savory (cheese\, crackers\, etc.) food to share. Drop them off in the hall between 8:00 and 9:00 pm. Holy Water: At the Easter Vigil we bless the Easter water\, the water that will be used for baptisms. Please bring empty containers and take some of the Easter water. This water will be available until after Mass on Easter Sunday.

SUMMARY:Good Friday- Celebration of the Lord’s Passion
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our regular Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion. Begins at 3pm. Parking is usually full; carpooling is advised. \nNo Mass – Mass is not celebrated after Holy Thursday until the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. On Good Friday we remember the death of Jesus. There are three parts to the liturgy: Liturgy of the Word\, Adoration of the Holy Cross and Holy Communion which was consecrated on Holy Thursday. \nGood Friday is a universal day of fasting and abstinence from meat. Fasting means we have one regular meal and less at other meals\, with no snacking\, however\, it is not intended to cause harm to your health. If you have a medical condition in which fasting is harmful you should not fast. When possible\, we try to extend the discipline of fasting and abstaining from meat until after the Vigil on Holy Saturday. Christian fasting obtains its full meaning when we deprive ourselves of food\, or unnecessary beverages\, in\norder to be more open for prayer\, to share more in the suffering of those who are starving and to save money to give to the poor.\nFor an otherwise healthy person the law of abstinence from meat binds those who are 14 and older; the law of fasting binds those from 18 to 59 years of age. \nWhat to expect on Good Friday- Celebration of the Lord’s Passion\n• No water is in the baptism font.\n• The ministers do not process in or out.\n• Holy Land collection: This helps maintain Christian sites in the Holy Land and supports projects that help\nChristians remain and thrive in the region.

DESCRIPTION:The Parish Mission is coming up soon! We are excited to welcome Fr. Ivel Mendanha\, CSs.R\, all the way from Rome as our Mission Preacher. This year the Church is celebrating a Jubilee Year\, centered around the theme\, “Pilgrims of Hope” and our Mission shares that theme.. There will be sermons each night expanding on the common theme of Hope and opportunities to participate in sacraments like Reconciliation and Mass. On Wednesday at 12:15pm\, there will be a Communal Sacrament of the Sick\, with lunch to follow (pre-registration for the lunch is required). \nIf you are wondering if this Mission is for you\, wonder no more! Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend – Catholic or non-Catholics are welcome. Bring your family and invite your friends and neighbours. If you have been searching – maybe this is what you are looking for! A Mission will help you deepen your faith\, it will encourage spiritual growth\, and if you have been away – this is a perfect time to return. The church was packed at our last Mission in 2017. Unfortunately\, our planned Mission in 2020 had to be cancelled\, so now is the time – do not miss out on this opportunity\, it’s going to be amazing! See you April 6-9\, beginning each evening at 7pm!! \nCheck the schedule for each night 2025 Mission Pilgrims of Hope \nFellow Pilgrims\, come and join us! Each evening will begin at 7 pm.
